Top 5 Personalization Apps Performance in Kenya, Q3 2021

In the third quarter of 2021, the personalization app market in Kenya saw varied performance trends across the top five apps, according to data from Sensor Tower.

GB Version 21.0 from PLK COLLECTIONS INC. experienced significant fluctuations in weekly downloads. Starting with 4.9K downloads in late June, the app saw a remarkable spike, peaking at 449K in the week of August 23. This surge was mirrored in active user trends, with an increase from 6.9K at the end of June to a peak of 596K in the same week of August. However, both metrics saw a decline towards the end of the quarter, with downloads at 36.7K and active users at 57.4K by late September.

AMOLED Color Phone: Caller The by Coralsky showed a notable increase in weekly downloads from 1.8K in mid-July to a peak of 14.2K in late July. Despite a general downward trend, the app maintained a steady flow of downloads around the 8K mark for the rest of the quarter. Active user numbers reflected a similar pattern, peaking at 10.9K in late August and stabilizing around 9.9K by the end of September.

APUS Launcher Pro by APUS Group saw its weekly downloads decline from 9.5K at the start of the quarter to 2.3K by the end of September. Active users also displayed a downward trend, dropping from 11.2K in late June to 6K by the end of the quarter.

Ultra Junk Cleaner from UNCLEBO LTD, released in mid-July, showed a substantial increase in downloads, starting with 1.1K in mid-August and reaching 50.6K by late September. Active user numbers followed this upward trend, starting at 789 in mid-August and soaring to 53.9K by the end of September.

Pink Rose Flower Theme by Cool keyboard skin for Android displayed relatively stable performance. Weekly downloads ranged from 3.2K to 6K throughout the quarter, while active users fluctuated between 4K and 5.3K, ending the quarter with 4.8K active users.
